Think About it

There is no real, true, and specific definition of love. This piece expands our mental definition of love by the utilization of poetry. It includes a song from pop culture and two classic poems. The song shares themes and tones with both poems, implying that poetry is alive today in the form of music. Drawing the correlation of themes and tone between poems and modern day hip hop is an effective way of appreciating and utilizing poetry. Overall, poetry gives us a greater understanding of the complex concepts in life such as undefinable factors.

What Inspired Me to Create This Blog?

Coming into my Spring 2018 semester of my freshman year at Farmingdale State College, I was well aware of my strengths and competencies in the field of writing. However, throughout the semester, I still noticed improvement. This indicates the versatility and beauty of writing. No matter how efficient you become, there is always room for improvement. This improvement is not limited to just fixing grammar issues or using literary devices. Instead, creativity, insightful thinking and deeper analysis of literature also improve.
